THE CATHOLIC church believes in God who has three personas. The three personas are God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. The Solemnity of the Holy Trinity is celebrated the Sunday after Pentecost. The Solemnity reminds every Christians around the World that God is with us from the creation, salvation, and to eternity.
He made his presence felt in the Old Testament as Yahweh, the creator of everyone and everything, the God of Abraham and Isaac. In the New Testament, He showed us that He can feel our cries and that He is one of us through Jesus Christ. And now, He guides us in every aspect of our life by the sending us His Holy Spirit.
According to churchyear.net "The Trinity is one of the most fascinating - and controversial - Christian dogmas. The Trinity is a mystery. By mystery the Church does not mean a riddle, but rather the Trinity is a reality above our human comprehension that we may begin to grasp, but ultimately must know through worship, symbol, and faith. It has been said that mystery is not a wall to run up against, but an ocean in which to swim."
It is curiously enough to have three persons in one but in our Christian faith, is not impossible. It is God's presence that brought about His three personas. His three personas were his instruments for us to feel His love, mercy, and compassion in three different timelines in the Bible: The history of Israel, the life of Jesus Christ, and the life of the Church which exist up to present.
We thank the Lord for always guiding us in our life. Through thick or thin, He is always there. We pray that He may guide us always.
In this we pray:
Father, you sent your Word to bring us truth and your Spirit to make us holy. Through them we come to know
the mystery of your life. Help us to worship you, one God in three Persons, by proclaiming and living our faith in you. We ask you this, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, one God, true and living, for ever and ever. Amen
